What is Evolution?
Evolution is the process where a pet transforms into its next life stage. Each evolution changes the pet's appearance and abilities based on how well it was cared for.
When Evolution Happens
Evolution occurs at specific age milestones:
Baby to Child
After 24 hours
Child to Teen
After 36 hours as child
Teen to Adult
After 48 hours as teen
Adult to Elder
After 14 days as adult
These transitions happen automatically when the time is reached.
Care Rating
The most important factor in evolution is the care rating. This is a score from 1 to 3 stars that reflects how well the pet has been cared for.
3 Stars - Excellent Care
The pet has been well-maintained. Stats rarely dropped to dangerous levels. Needs were addressed promptly.
2 Stars - Average Care
The pet has received decent care. Some struggles occurred but nothing fatal. Reasonable maintenance overall.
1 Star - Poor Care
The pet has suffered. Stats frequently hit zero. Needs were often ignored. Multiple close calls.
How Care Rating Affects Evolution
When a pet evolves, its care rating determines which form it becomes:
3 stars
Best possible evolution
2 stars
Standard evolution
1 star
Least desirable evolution
Better care leads to better-looking, more desirable pet forms.
What Affects Care Rating
What Decreases It
Letting ALL basic stats reach zero simultaneously
Neglecting the pet for extended periods
Repeated emergencies and close calls
What Increases It
Keeping all stats above healthy levels
Responding quickly to needs
Consistent, attentive care
Visual Differences
Different evolution paths result in different appearances:
Each life stage has multiple possible sprites
The best evolutions tend to look more appealing
The worst evolutions may look rougher or simpler
Skills and Evolution
If skill-based evolution is enabled, the pet's highest skill can influence which form it takes. A pet with high Expression might evolve into a more artistic form. High Logic might lead to a scholarly appearance. High Endurance might result in an athletic look.
However, skills only matter if they exceed a certain threshold. A mediocre skill won't influence evolution.
The AI's Role
The AI agent works to achieve the best possible evolutions by:
Never letting all stats hit zero
Keeping stats in healthy ranges
Responding to emergencies immediately
Maintaining consistent care throughout each stage
Good AI care typically results in 3-star care ratings.

The fortune teller feature allows viewing possible evolution outcomes:
See what forms are possible based on current care
Preview different evolution paths
Plan ahead for the next stage
Elder Evolution is Fixed
The final evolution from adult to elder is unique: care rating doesn't affect it. There's only one elder form per character line. This makes the earlier evolutions even more important since they determine the appearance that leads to elder status.
Multiple Generations
If pets have children, evolution affects future generations:
Parent forms influence child possibilities
Good evolution lines can be maintained
Poor evolution lines can be improved with better care
The Evolution Moment
